About TEDAI Vienna 2026
Program at a Glance
The conference runs across three days, each with a distinct focus:
- October 28, Opening Gala: a black-tie evening styled as a traditional Viennese ball, built for meeting fellow attendees and speakers.
- October 29, Discovery Day: workshops, panels, and off-site "Ideas Adventures," such as guided tours of Vienna's tech and research scene, followed by community dinners at restaurants around the city.
- October 30, Talks Day: 20 or more curated TED Talks on the main stage, followed by an afterparty.
Who Else Will Be There
Recent editions of the conference have drawn more than 1,100 attendees from more than 65 countries and 820 organizations, spanning technology, media, science, healthcare, finance, policy, engineering, and education. Roughly one in three attendees is an executive, which makes the event a strong fit for conversations with senior business and technology leaders.
The speaker lineup includes AI pioneer, Nobel laureate, and Turing Award winner Geoffrey Hinton; The Atlantic CEO Nicholas Thompson; cybersecurity expert Mikko Hypponen; and author and activist Cory Doctorow. Sessions cover AI safety, the AI economy, AI and creative work, and AI policy.
